PS. The first-stage filter capacitor after Neotron 5u4g should not exceed 30uf; the original 274B Western Electric recommends a maximum of 3.9uf; if the first-stage filter capacitor is too large, it will hurt the 5U4G tube when it is turned on. I will use my DC before shipping. 2A3 tube machine (high voltage AC 450V, total current 180ma) The Neotron 5u4g is actually tested, and the Neotron 5U4G rectifier tube will not be shipped after the test is turned on, but there is no guarantee that it will not flash over on your tube machine, because each tube machine The size of the high voltage and the first-stage filter capacitor is different. If the first-stage filter capacitor is too large, there may be a small flashover phenomenon when the power is turned on.

It is recommended to change the filter capacitor of the first stage to less than 20uf, because if it is too large, the short-circuit current will be very large at the moment of startup, and the damage to the rectifier will be relatively large. Even if the rectifier does not flash over, the moment of startup is similar to the short-circuit current It will be very large, which will hurt the life of the rectifier tube.

PS. Because every amp is different, no guarantee "no flashing on startup" for this Neotron 5U4G. Please check your amp first.
