In our experience (we sold hundreds of this item) , in 95% of cases , this "6CH6/CV4055+rewire socket" can replace EL84/6BQ5 directly with no problem. However, because there is still some minor differences between 6CH6 and EL84 , there is still 5% chance that it may have some problem in some EL84 amps. Therefore we will not give any guarantee if it 100% works on EL84 amps. Because it is relatively cheap compared to the high international shipping cost , we can't offer return/replacement for this item, therefore "NO RETURN FOR THIS ITEM"
